The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger says he and drummer John Densmore are "back on track."
The rocker tells "The Hollywood Reporter" he's glad they've finally reconciled their differences and are once again on good terms, although it's "too bad" it took the death of keyboardist Ray Manzarek for it to happen. But Krieger says they'll be honoring Ray with a special event this summer. He explains that they "want to bring together those who Ray either idolized or guys who idolized Ray" to join him, Densmore, and Manzarek's family for a tribute show in Los Angeles.
Robby adds that there's "a lot of interest" in the event, because "there are so many musicians and fans who have learned so much" from Ray. But he admits it's been a challenge to find a summer date when everyone who wants to be involved is available.
Krieger says they've enlisted Live Nation to help organize the special show, because they "want it to be the best it can be."
Ray died last May following a lengthy cancer battle. He was 74.
