Led Zeppelin turned down President Bill Clinton's request to reunite at last year's 12.12.12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert at New York's Madison Square Garden.

Led Zeppelin turned down the request.

Robin Hood Foundation's executive director David Saltzman said on CBS' "60 Minutes" that Clinton asked the band personally when they were being saluted with the Kennedy Center honor.

"Harvey Weinstein had this great idea that we could enlist Bill Clinton, who could convince Led Zeppelin to reunite to perform at the 12.12.12 concert," Saltzman said. "Bill Clinton himself asked Led Zeppelin to reunite, and they wouldn't do it."

The concert raised over $50 million for storm victims.
