A woman was placed under arrest, after she drove through a gate at Fenway Park and crashed into a forklift.
The crash happened at 8:30 a.m. when a car drove off Lansdowne Street into Fenway Park’s Gate C, then crashed into a forklift that had been removing staging. The forklift operator Eric Perlmutter said she turned into the loading dock and headed for center field,
“I literally slammed the back of my forklift against her and slammed her into the wall,” Perlmutter said.
When she tried to get away a Boston police officer jumped on his forklift and told him to “get her.”
“As she put it in reverse, I slammed the forklift forward, like forward gear, and just went and hit her right in the bumper and just picked her right up about three and a half feet,” Perlmutter said.
The woman was taken to the hospital, and then arrested.
