According to a new survey by USC, yes . . . it's incredibly rude to use your cell phone at dinner, in meetings, or in class.  In case there was still any confusion? 

 

 

Here's what they found . . .

 

 

84% of people think it's inappropriate to talk on your phone at the dinner table.  About 80% say it's also wrong to email . . . surf the web . . . or text.  62% of people think you shouldn't even HAVE your phone at the table. 

 

 

90% of people say it's wrong to take a call while you're in a meeting.  About 80% also say you shouldn't email . . . surf the web . . . or text.  52% of people think you shouldn't even HAVE your phone out while in a meeting. 

 

 

92% of students say you shouldn't talk on the phone in class.  About 60% also say you shouldn't email . . . surf the web . . . or text.  56% say you shouldn't have your phone out in class.
