Well you got me it's me JD. so I was looking at the concert calendar and noticed that Todd Rundgren was coming to town on 3/26 at the House of Blues. let me tell ya this is gonna be a great show. I remember(barley) one time when Todd came to down at this place called..oh I think it was the Augora Ballroom? I remember standing out back by his van smoking a "cigarette". man that was the best Cigarette I had in a long time if you catch my drift. this was back in the old Zoo days, I think sometime in the 70's. Anywho that night it was a great show and let me tell you this will be a great show. Check out this old video I found of Todd banging on his drum. brings back memories..of course it's hard to top the video below, thanks Kate..
Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover gal, Kate Upton dances for all Jon's friends (bless you, Jon!!)
Oh I mean BB King. Yes he's coming to the Billy Bob's on 2/25. So let me tell ya a story. Many years ago, I think it was like 71 or something, BB was playing at a place called The Loser's Club over on Mockingbird..I had never met him before this and he saved me a table in the back to make sure I had a good seat. the day was good, we did a little interview and then of course his show started. then about halfway through the show he stops and says to the crowd: So I met a man today who was not only nice but also very talented and I'd like to introduce him now, Ladies and Gentlemen please give a warm welcome for Mr Jon Dillon. I was like what? I didn't expect that. The next thing you know the spotlight shines on me and BB's like, Jon Stand up. So of course I did. I got a big round of applause. Good thing it was dark because I was a little red. Anywho just thought I'd share that story since the man is coming to town. To tide you over until then, enjoy this little diddy from the Crossroads Guitar Festival..
So I saw these guys on I think it was Jimmy Fallon the other night. but then we found this video featuring Max Weinberg. Pretty cool stuff. It was actuallay hard to find the video with Max in it but I did it. Hope you enjoy!
So I was sitting around and I had this picture of Nancy, Nick and I with Doyle Bramhal and I set the picture down on the table and wouldn't you know it, Nancy went through and started cutting up the picture trying to cut her self out. I was like WHAT??? so Nick went and found the original. so here it is. I miss my friend Doyle but I know he will live on forever via his music!. what a great pic.

Well sadly a good friend of mine and an amazing musicial passed away over the weekend. Of course I'm talking about the legendary Doyle Bramhall. Many of you know him from his time with Stevie Ray Vaughan but me, I've known the man for many years including his time with both Stevie and his brother Jimmie when they were in The Nightcrawlers. I have lots of great memories of this man and my prayers go out to his family. We were lucky enough to have Doyle here at the station and he performed in our music lounge. Check out these amazing videos. Doyle..You will be missed..
